Idol of the Week: Mano Erina

2/21-2/27

Mano Erina is the first ever Idol of the Week~

This week, the PV for her first official single was released.

Otome no Inori, like her other songs, is very peaceful and cute... As is the PV.

Congrats, Mano. You can now charm even more Japanese audiences with your cute magically-changing-outfits, polka-dot room, sweet smile, and piano-ness.

I wish your new single success, and, who knows, if it does really well, you might get Idol of the Week once more. ;D

Here is the PV for those of you who are interested.

Upcoming: Idol of the Week

Just to tell you all, that starting every Friday, I will decide on a certain member of H!P who I think had a pretty good week. Consider it the idol version of Best Week Ever.

Just to let you know that this will be a pretty regular feature. So look forward to it. =D

Who the Hell is Mariko?

I just read the translation of Naichau Kamo, and there are two lines that puzzle me greatly...

Sayumi's lines, "You're alone again, Mariko" and "Are you alright with this, Mariko?"

Apparently the speaker of the lyrics is talking to herself. But why Mariko?

This bit of randomness brought to you by Kokoro~

MM's US Debut?!

So today I received the alarming news that Morning Musume will, in fact, be performing at Anime Expo 2009.

My reaction was loud and surprised, which then led to some hyperventilating and crying.

I immediately called my parents and asked if I could go as an early birthday present.

They said we would talk about it.

Holy freaking god.

[PV] Dakishimete Dakishimete

So the PV of Berryz Koubou's new single, Dakishimete Dakishimete (Hold Me, Hold Me) just came out.

My goodness.

Naichau Kamo, and now this?

It seems Tsunku is trying to kill off the wotas by their own explosive nose bleeds.

At first I was just going to do a review of the song, but this thing... This thing-like thing... Is too awesome and requires crappy screenshots.

I could always do pink-wota-no-Vee's "live audio review", but I think it might be copyrighted...

BEHOLD! LQ YOUTUBE VERSION! =O

Photobucket

Like many other recent PVs, there aren't a lot of different shots. It kind of consists of two... But it's flashy. ;D

Photobucket

A Berryz disco ball? Do they sell that at the H!P store? =O

Photobucket

This is one of those moments that I have thought, "Damn, Maasa is pretty."

Photobucket

Saki is looking pretty badass as well. But her hair is a little weird...

Photobucket

Risako is as beautiful as ever. It should be illegal to be that pretty.

Photobucket

Even Momoko is looking fierce. xD

Photobucket

....

*clears throat*

WHAT THE HELL?!

Y-y-y-y-yurina! *head explodes*

You're the youngest! You're not allowed to be the sexiest one here!

Photobucket

Army of Saki's. That's what you get for pushing Leader into the background, even if you did let her be in HIGH-KING!

Photobucket

There's the sweet Yuri that we all know and love, but still. Damn.

Photobucket

Chinami is also giving Risako a run for her money. Remember when she was the cute but kinda awkwardly cute one? Yup. That's officially over.

Photobucket

Because Yurina is now officially the most beautiful girl in H!P, she has decided to audition for America's Next Top Model. Here is her audition.

Photobucket

Spiffy green-light-thing going on.

Photobucket

I STILL can't get over it.

Photobucket

*nosebleed*

YURINA!

Photobucket

And of course, Risako gets the cool lookit-me-it's-a-solo-so-turn-down-the-music-moment. >.>

Photobucket

Not only is Yurina super-smexy, really tall, but she's also a badass DJ.

Berryz has now been knocked up to MM level of smexiness. Maybe a little Melon Kinenbi there, too. ;D

Kokoro's Experience w/ Japan + H!P

Look at that shamelessly lazy title. My goodness.

Since I'm flying to Japan for a week this Saturday, I thought I'd discuss the amount of H!P influence that I witness the last time I was there.

Almost none.

There was an old MM poster from 2002 on an old shop wall up towards Kiyomizudera, and yes, if I had just powered on for a few more minutes in Harajuku I would have come face-to-face with the H!P fan shop, but there wasn't much.

But I did find this sign in Akihabara which made my day.
